Amanda Seifers L.Ac.

Amanda Seifers is a graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder CO. Before she became an acupuncturist, she was a nationally certified massage therapist.

Amanda practices acupuncture from a musculoskeletal and Five Element view point, because this is what she truly believe is the most beneficial. Amanda believes every patients issues, no matter how small or how big has a body, mind, and spirit connection. When an injury occurs, the nervous system creates a reaction map of the incident. The map includes the location of the body in the physical world, the sensation of the physical injury to the body, and any emotions that are felt at that time. In the future when enough triggers are present the body recreates the map, because it knows this is how it dealt with this last time. Amanda Seifers

When this occurs, the entire map becomes is available to our nervous system. Since the nervous system controls our body and our experience of our inner and outer worlds, it can rapidly change what we feel. So we experience the emotions, pain, and trauma in our mind and body as if we were reliving our previous trauma. We of course do not even realize this is going on. We just think that neck pain is back and fail to recognize the connection. Each person is different of course and their triggers could be a combination of multiple stimulants. The key in treatment is to change the body, mind, and spirits connection to the memory and the triggers. In doing this you can reduce, if not eliminate the memory map and the associated pain.

Amanda believes that when the body, mind, and spirit are in balance we are in optimal health. She wants every one of her patients’ to achieve their level of optimal health, for their body, mind, and spirit to be in balance. When our body is in balance it can handle the unexpected changes in life. Life isn’t easy, but Five Element acupuncture can help keep it a little more balanced.
